BARLOW ROAD TRAILHEAD

Trail surface is asphalt and the grade is flat. There is a slight grade after 1/4 mile, where participants have to cross a very quiet residential street to continue on the trail. There is one bench at the trailhead near the kiosk, but no restrooms.

MIDDLEBURY ROAD TRAILHEAD

The surface of the Freedom Trail is asphalt and the grade is flat. There is one bench at the trailhead near the kiosk, but no restrooms.

BIG BEND

Trail surface is crushed limestone with very little grade. Participants must cross railroad tracks near the trailhead. At approximately 1,800 feet there is a bridge with a slight grade. Benches can be found near the trailhead and at about 1/2 mile. Accessible restrooms are available.

MEMORIAL TRAILHEAD

Trail surface is crushed limestone and the grade is flat. There is a bench near the trailhead and one along the trail near the Pancake Creek Bridge. Accessible restrooms are available.

FRANKLIN TRAILHEAD

Trail surface is crushed limestone and the grade is flat. There is a bench near the trailhead and one along the trail near the Pancake Creek Bridge. Accessible restrooms are available.

CLINTON TRAILHEAD

Trail surface is mostly asphalt and the grade is flat. There is a bench near the trailhead and two near the observation platform near Locks 2 and 3. Accessible restrooms are available.

OVERLOOK TRAIL

The flat, paved Overlook Trail provides spectacular views of the Cuyahoga River and the oxbow found 125 feet below the Overlook Deck. Accessible restrooms are available.

ROCK & HERB GARDEN

The spree trail at the Nature Realm is the loop through the Rock & Herb Garden. Total distance from the kiosk and back is 1/8 mile. Trail surface varies between concrete and brick. There is plenty of seating available in the garden. Accessible restrooms are located at the visitors center.

BRUSHWOOD AREA

4955 Townsend Rd., Richfield 44286

The accessible portion of this trail is to the trailhead sign and back (slightly more than 1/8 mile, round trip) and the surface is brick and crushed limestone. After approximately 850 feet the trail becomes more rugged and has a dirt surface. Accessible restrooms are available, as are non-accessible picnic tables.

ALDER TRAIL

The accessible portion of this trail (approximately 1/2 mile, round trip) is crushed limestone and the turnaround point is Alder Pond. Benches overlook the pond. Accessible restrooms and picnic tables are available.

COYOTE RUN TRAIL

This paved loop trail utilizes an existing neighborhood connector and a service drive which takes you around the Liberty Park Nature Center!

MAPLE LOOP TRAIL

This accessible, paved trail begins at the parking lot and travels through a section of beech-maple forest before passing by the Liberty Park Nature Center. If you have young children, be sure to stop by the Nature Play area.

MEADOW LOOP TRAIL

The Meadow Loop is a paved .35-mile trail that loops near the parking lot. An accessible restroom, open-air picnic shelter and two benches are located at the trailhead.

FIREFLY TRAIL

New for 2024, Firefly Trail utilizes a portion of the parkway that circles the Lake Area of Munroe Falls Metro Park.

MINER’S TRAIL

New for 2024, Miner’s Trail utilizes a portion of the parkway that circles the lake at Silver Creek Metro Park.

JOGGING TRAIL / OLD PORTAGE AREA

Trail surface is crushed limestone. Grade is generally flat, although there are some slight gradations. At the 1/2-mile mark, the grade approaches 5%. There is a bench near the start of the trail. An accessible restroom is available, but hikers will have to travel through the parking area to reach it.
