Get an up-close experience searching for amphibians and other water-loving creatures. We'll learn what makes them slimy, small and special. Be prepared to get wet. Closed-toe water shoes required.
Is that just a series of tracks in the snow or . . . mystery waiting to be solved? Rookie detectives and hard-boiled trackers alike are invited to brush up on their tracking skills to solve cases and present their findings to the force before we go on patrol to find tracks and clues right outside our door.
Have a relaxing walk on the 1.4 mile Seneca Trail. Take some time to listen to the absence or abundance of sound that is found in winter. Make sure to dress warm and, above all, enjoy the serenity of the outdoors.
Drop in to learn all about our native black bears through education stations, a craft, scavenger hunt and more. While you visit, warm up with a cozy campfire and s’mores. At 2 p.m., all are invited to join a naturalist for an educational hike along the 1.1-mile Ledges Trail to learn even more.
