Important Bird Areas
Several areas managed by Metro Parks have been named Important Bird Areas by Audubon Ohio, including Deep Lock Quarry and Liberty Park.
Mary Campbell
The first white child in the wild frontier of the Western Reserve was reportedly Mary Campbell, for whom the cave in Gorge Metro Park is named.
