The War of 1812
A high ridge above the Wadsworth Area in Sand Run Metro Park was a lookout point for General Elijah Wadsworth, who made his camp near the present-day Old Portage Area during the War of 1812.
Help from All Ages
Metro Parks has more than 400 active volunteers, ranging in age from pre-school to octogenarian.
