Stinking Buckeye
The buckeye tree is sometimes called the stinking buckeye due to the unpleasant odor of its flowers and broken twigs.
Native Navigation
The Indian Signal Tree, an unusually formed Bur oak in Cascade Valley Metro Park, was reportedly shaped by Native Americans to serve as a marker on the old Portage Trail between the Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas rivers.
