Green Challenge

This winter, Metro Parks is challenging your family, friends and neighbors to make green changes at home that will reduce impacts on the environment. Households that adopt at least 12 Earth-friendly practices will receive a reusable nylon bag, compliments of Metro Parks.

You don't have to buy a hybrid car or install solar panels on your roof to become a better steward of the environment. Our list of sustainable suggestions includes things like replacing standard light bulbs with compact fluorescents, turning off your computer when it’s not in use, and using only cold water to wash clothes.
